For five decades, Beach Raker has provided Florida Municipal, Commercial and Residential clients unique options to manage vast quantities and varying types of seaweed that invade the beaches each year. No two beaches are the same and Beach Raker evaluates each beach to ensure that the client’s expectations can be met, given the federal, state and local restrictions, with the least invasive methods. Beach Raker has developed and patented several unique pieces of equipment in order to maximize the efficiency.

Aside from specialized equipment, Beach Raker also uses several different methods that may include burial of the organic material at the MHWL, integration of the seaweed below the MHWL or removal of the seaweed for disposal or alternative uses. 

At all times, non-organic debris is collected, removed and disposed of properly. Beach Raker’s customized equipment incorporates a drag bar or mat which is designed to eliminate any ruts and leave the beach level and smooth. 

The most efficient method is to bury the seaweed below the MHWL which helps maintain the beach’s integrity and assists in preventing unnecessary beach erosion.
